Android app for PKU families
Track protein, meals, and day-to-day PKU care in one place.
Built by a parent whose daughter has PKU, for families like ours.

PKU Diet tracks protein intake from food, in grams, against a daily limit. You can also record blood-test Phe results in µmol/L.
What it does
Everyday PKU tracking, together
Log food against a personal limit, keep meals and pantry in one place, and share a profile with the people who help. How sharing works
Tracking
See remaining protein for the day, log meals by type, and keep a home-screen widget on the fridge door.
The dashboard shows what is left after food and reserved supplement protein. Swipe days, copy yesterday, and log by weight or by the protein you wanted to use.
Explore
Meals
Save meals with ingredients and notes, scale a portion, and turn a week plan into a shopping list.
Build a meal once — household measures plus grams — then apply it at 25–200% or log leftovers. Plan the week if you want a list for the shop.
Explore
Care and clinic
Medications, supplements, optional blood-test results, sick days, insights, and a PDF or CSV for clinic.
Supplements reserve protein in the food budget. You can also log blood tests (Phe in µmol/L). Insights and export are for the conversation with clinic — not a diagnosis.

For the whole family
Several people, one shared picture
PKU is rarely a one-person job. Keep more than one profile on your account, then invite family with a code or QR so everyone sees the same remaining protein, pantry, and shopping list.

Multiple profiles
One signed-in account can look after several people. Each profile has their own name, daily protein limit, and log — so you can switch between a child, a partner, or yourself without mixing the numbers.
Share with family
Invite parents, a partner, or grandparents with an 8-character share code or a QR. They join that profile and see the same remaining protein, food log, and reminders. Only share a code with people you trust.
Shared pantry
Stock, units, low-stock minimums, and expiry sit on the profile — not on one person’s phone. Anyone who has joined can scan to add or subtract, so the cupboard stays in sync.
Shopping lists
Turn low stock or a week plan into a daily, weekly, or monthly list. Tick items off at the shop, record how much you bought, and add it back to the shared pantry.
How it works
Three steps, then you’re tracking
- 1
Create a profile
Set a daily protein limit for the person you care for — or for yourself.
- 2
Log food or apply a meal
Search, scan a barcode, or drop in a saved meal and scale the portion.
- 3
See what’s left
Watch remaining protein through the day, then share or export for clinic.
